Society for Promoting Christian KnowledgeGN the arrival of the Lord Bishop of Npw Zealand, which is expected early in the month of November, it is proposed to hold a Meeting of persons desirous of becoming members of a Canterbury Branch of the Society for promoting Christian Knowledge. A supply of books and tracts, bibles, prayerbooks, &c, has just been received from the parent Society, and a depot is established at Mr, Thompson's in Cashel Street. Steps have been taken to obtain a farther supply. Intending subscribers are requested to send in their names to Mr. F. Thompson, Cashel street, Christchurch, or to the Rev. B. W. Dudley, Lyttelton.
