XL, No, 16, will be prosecuted with the utmost rigour of the law. " If any person, not being duly licensed, shall sell any quantity less than two gallons of any spirituous liquors, wine, ale, or beer, to'iether the said quantity of two gallons shall be composed of the same liquor, or of a variety of liquor ; or shall permit the same to be sold by any person in or upon his house or premises; or shall permit to be removed from his premises for the purposes ofsale, any quantity less than two gallons of one liquor at any one time, he shall forfeit and pay for every such offence, the sum of Fifty Pounds, tobe recovered in a summary way."
