SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
We have received files of Adelaide papers up to the 12th ultimo, from which we extract the following summary of domestic intelligence, there being no political news but such as has appeared in the extracts from the London papers per the "Chusan."
The first steamer to navigate the river Murray had started on her voyage. She arrived at the Goolwa on the 4th, and was visited by the Lieutenant-Governor, and suite, who partook of an entertainment on board.
The. Directors,of the Burra Burra Mines have announced their intention to resume operations in the deeper levels. The pitches will be offered to enable tributers to earn 40s. a week, and they expect that this will be an inducement to many miners to abandon the precarious occupation of gold digging, which has so long suspended their works.
