To the Editor of the Lyttelton Times. Dear Sib,—l enclose a Communication from Mr. E. G. Wakefield, addressed to Mr. Godley and myself, as chairmen of the public meetings held at Lyttelton and Cliristcliurcli, to vote an address of thanks to Sir John Pakington and the other friends of New Zealand in England, for their exertions in procuring from the Imperial Parliament a Constitution for these Colonies. I shall feel obliged by your giving it 3 place in your columns at your earliest opportunity, I am, dear Sir, Your's very faithfully, Oct. Mathias. . Christchnrch. February 16,1853.
