ARROW FALLEN SOLDIERS. MEMORIAL COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the Fallen Soldiers' Memorial OommHtPO was held in the Press Offioe on B.h inst; present — Messrs C Ross (Chairman), J Fletoher, M Elliot, J Jenkins and G H Romans (Hon Secretary). Messrs Frapwell and Holgate wroto stating that a first-class photographer, who bad taken photographs of the unveiling of soldiers' memorials in various centres, would be prepared to viait Arrow on the occasion of the unveiling ceremony, provided that fhe Committee would guarmtee the sale of 200 photographs at 8s 6d eaoh. It was decided to reply that the Committee could not see its way to give a gaurintee in regard to the sale of photographs. It was reported that a rock at the northern side of the monument ob scared the view and it was decided to have the same removed.
A progress payment of £l5O to the contractors for tho erection of the monument was passed. It wa'j decided to convene a pubiic meeting for Monday, 14th inst., to make arrangements in connection with the unveiling ceremony. The meeting closed with the usual complimentary vote to the chair.
