SOLDIERS’ RETURN,
Welcome-home Sooial at Gibbston. On Friday evening a most enjoyable welcome-home social was held in the Bohoolhouse, Gibbston, for Private James Kinross and Gunner C. G. Johnston who have recently returned from the front. It was intended to have included Private A. Joblin in the welcome, but he was unable to attend. Mr Joseph Miller, presided, and during the evening appropriately welcomed the two young men. Private Kinross wa3 presented with the customary medal, and Gunner Johnston with a cold-mounted fountain pen, suitably inscribed. Mr Miller mentioned that Gunner Johnston had received a medal from Arrow and district residents. Rev J. Rattray also extended a welcome to the guests of the evening, both of whom briefly thanked the Gibbston people for their hearty welcome. Sonus were contributed by Misses En right and D. Cowan, and Mr J. Dakers. The music for the dance was supplied by Messrs J. Dakers and A. Scott (violin), and Mrs Scott (piano). Mr (Gerald Enright acted as M.O.
