Weekly Market Report. Stronaon, Morris and Co., Ltd., report for weok ended Thursday, 12th June, 1019, H8 follows:--Fat Cattle :—173 penned—a small yarding of good quality. At the beginning of the sale competition was veiy good and good prices were realised, but towards the end it eased and last week's rates were cot maintained. Best bullocks £l9 to £2l 12s 6d, extra to £25 ss, medium to good £ls 10s to £l7, best cows and heifers £l4 to £l6, extra to £l7. medium to good £ll 103 to £l3 10a, others £lO up. Fat Sheep—3ll6 penned. Although this number constitutes a very big yarding prioea were kept fairly steady owing to the fact of the exporters buying freely, Prim 3 quality were on a par with last week'a rates, while other classes advanced abou6 Is per head. Best wethers 43s to 495, extra 60s to 51s (id, medium to good 33s to 375, best ewes 36s to 12s, extra to 465, medium to good 26s to 80s, others 21s up. Lambs—2llo penned.—a large yarding of good quality. Competition was keen through out and a good sale resulted. Best lambs 28s to 31a ; extra 34s to 495; medium to good 24s to 26s ; others 17s 6d up. Pigs—A medium yarding of fata came to hand and sold on a par with last week'a rates. A small yarding of stores was offered and these also at lato rates. Babbitskins :—Our next Sale will be held on Monday, 16th June. Sheepskins—The Government are holding a valuation this week. Hides—Our next sale will be held on Thursday, 12th inst Oats—There is no change to report. Although there is a good enquiry very little business is growers are holding at present. Prime milling 4/2 to 4/1, good to best feed 4/- to 4/2 per bushel, (sacks extra) Wheat—A good many of the samples offering of late have be«n in soft condition and these have had to be sold as fowl feed, millers having good stocks will not aocept any lines unless they are milling quality. Potatoes —Fairly large buppiiea have been soming forward of late a fair number of the consignments have been of medium quality or have been frosted. Samples of this des 3ription are hard to place even at reduced prices. Choice tables are in good demand ind saleable at quotations. Prime table 3 £8 5s to £8 10s ; medium to good £7 lus to £8 ; others from £6 upwards (saoks in).
