PROFIT-SHARING SCHEME.

The directors of the Nokomai Hydraulic Sluicing Company have adopted a scheme of sharing profit with their employees. For each Is dividend paid to shareholders the company's employees will be given a bonus of 5 per cent on the total wages earned by each of them during the six months immediately preceding the declaration of suoh dividend. Owing to the impossibility of getting sufficient workmen to fully operate the company's plant its earnings during the past few years have fallen off, though since its inception in 1898 shareholders have received dividends averaging 12J per cent p9r annum. Ground which the company has every reason to believe will be profitable and sufficient to keep its plant ooc»pied for from 10 to 12 years, still remains unworked in the claims at present held, and plenty more ground commanded by its water is available. The company has splendid water rights and an up-to-date plant, and, with sufficient labour to operate it, is satisfied that it will again soon, under the profit sharing scheme, become a good proposition for both shareholders and employees.
