ORIGINAL POETRY.

Soon They’ll Go Marching Through Berlin. Air: “ Marching Through Georgia.” Hoist the stars and stripes again, raise that good old flag, Float it bravely on the breeze, need it backward lag. Britiin’s sons from overseas, all are in the fray Soon they’ll go marching through Germany. Chorus. March on, march on, there’s room ioe-ytm and me; March on, march on ; we’ll set old Belgiam free. Sing this joyful chorus from Kawarau to the sea ; Soon we’ll go marching through Germany. In this great offensive we will keep the Germans back; We are not downhearted, tho’ the present time looks black. With reserves at our command, countless thousands strong, Soon they’ll go marching through Germany, (Chorus.) How the Kaiser trembled when he know the Yanks had come, How old Hmdenburg beat a tatoo round the drum ; And tho’ Tirpitz in his rage launch his submarines, Still we’ll go marching throng Germany. (Chorus.) Jack Dakebs. Arrowtown, June 10, 1918.
