Notice 13 hereby given that the Lake County Council intends at a Speoial Meeting to"be held in the Lake County Council Chambers, Queenstown, on Wednesday, 10th day of July, 1918, at 12 o'clock noon, to make and levy under sections 117 and 118 of " The Comities Act, 1908," and under sections 48 to 51 "both inclusive, of "Eating Act, 1908," and all amendments thereto, a General Kite soparately in each Riding of the County, viz., Arrow Riding, Cardrona Riding, Greenstone Riding, Matukituki Riding, Shotover Riding. Kingston Riding, and Queenstown Riding, of six farthings in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Lake County as appearing in the Lake County valuation Rolls for the time being in force, and for the period or year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1918, and ending on the 31st day of Maroh, 1919. Such rate shall be payable in one sum at the office of the Lake County Council, at Queenßtown, from the Ist day of August, 1918, and the Valuation rolls of the Lake County Council shall be open for inspection at the Lake County Office, Queenstown, to all Ratepayers on all office days between the hours of 10 o'clock in the forenoon, and 12 o'clock noon, up to and including the Bth day of July, 1918. Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Council of the Borough of Arrowtown intends at Us meetings to be held at the Borough Counoil Chambers, Buckingham street, Arrowtown, on Tuesday evening, 25th June, 1918, at 8 o'clock, to make and levy, under neotions 78 to 80, both inolusive, of " The Bating Aot, 1908." a General Bate of One Shilling and Sixpence (1/6) in the £ for the finanobl year ending on the 31st day of Maroh, 1919, upon the rateable value cf all rateable properties within the Borough of Arrowtown, as appearing on the Borough Valuation Roll in foroe for the time being, and payable in one Bum on the Ist day of September, 1918, and that the rate-book shall be open for inspection at the Council Chambers, Buckingham street, Arrowtown, to all ratepayers on office days between the hours of ten o'olock in the forenoon and twelve o'clock noon up to 25th day of Juno, 1918. And, further, notioe is hereby given that the said Counoil intends at its said meeting to levy, under seotion 80 of " The Municipal Corporations Aot, 1908," for year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1918, and ending on the 31st day of Maroh, 1919, in lieu of a rate of 1/6 in the £, a uniform annual fee of seven shillings in respect of such of the rateable properties of the said Borough as have a house or housos erected thereon, and such uniform annual fee to be paid at the said Counoil Chambers (half-yearly) in advance on the Ist day of July, 1918, and on the Ist day of January 1919 ; and, further, notioe is hereby given that the rate-book is open for inspection at the said Borough Council Chambers to all ratepayers on ofiico days, i.e., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am. till 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 pm., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. till 12 noon up to 25th day of June, 1918.
