Motor Reliability Trial. Tlio Cadillac Car added the climax to its long series of successes in reliability trials, In this year’s trial from Christchurch to Kaikoura and return Mr F. Hubbard in a 1911 modal, 80 h.p. Cadillac was successful in winning the Gilchrist 100-Guinea Cup, also Gold Modal for the private owner making the highest aggregate of marks in the trial. Mr J. Boag in a 1912 Self-starting Cadillac was awarded the third prize in the private owners class and missed securing a gold medal for non-stop run by 5 marks only. Mr 11. Piper in a i9lO 30 Cadillac was awarded fourth place and secured second prize for the petrol con ■ sumption test. The three Cadillacs were standard models and went through the trial without any special covering to protect the engines or to fit on gripping chains for crossing the rivers.
