CHILDREN'S PICNIC.
As mentioned last week the picnic held on New Year's Day was a great success and the little ones enjoyed themselves immensely, thanks to the efforts of the several ladies and gentle men who took a prominent part in carrying out the arrangements. Games and foot races were got up for the children and afternoon tea supplied to all and sundry. The special thanks of parents and others are due Soutter, Trainor, Wilcox, Payne, and Mackie, and Messrs T. Johnston, Blackie, and Mackie.
