ARROW BOWLING CLUB.

A meeting of Committee was held in the Pkhss Office on Monday evening last. There was a good attendance, and the President (Mr T. Connor) occupied the Chair. Regarding repairs to fence, Mr Goodley offered some wire netting for repairs. The offer was accepted with thanks. Mr Grant’s explanation re poultry ou the green was accepted The president said an offer had been made by the Gibbston Tennis Club for the concrete roller and he thought if the Club could see its way clear it would be preferable to have a water ballast roller. The president said he would deliver the roller at Gibbston and bring a new one from Frankton, free of charge.

It was decided to offer the concrete roller to Gibbston Tennis Club for £5. It was left in the hands of Messrs Connor and Goodley to dispose of the roller and purchase a new one. A committee was appointed to arrange for a social and dance on the 22nd September. The charge for admission was fixed at; gentlemen 2s 6d; ladies Is. Mesdames Goodley, Melville, Perrelle and Youngman, were appointed a ladies’ committee to assist in carrying out the social. Arrangements were made for top dressing the green and the purchase of grass seed
