Skin and Hide Report.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd , reports as follows ; Eabbitskins:—We held our usual weekly auction sale on Monday the 17th inst. when we offered a fairly large sized catalogue. There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was very animated, and prices ruled firm at late rates. Following are quotations : Ist winter does, 33d to 34d; 2nd winter does 21;/d to 25^d; outgoing winter does, 17d to 18A-d ; Ist winter bucks, 16d to 17Ad; spring bucks, Hid to to 19d; fawns, to horsehair, 17d to 19d.

Sheepskins :—Only moderate sized catalogues ware offered at Tuesday’s sale. The attendance of buyers was good, but prices for best woolled skins were hardly so firm as last week. We quote Best halfbreds BSd to medium halfbreds 7d to Bd, fine cross-bred, 7:} dto Sd ; good crossbred, 6 r /d to 7d ; medium crossbreds 6d to Gsd; best merinos, 7d to 7gd; medium merinos Gd to 6^d; inferior and damaged skins 4d to 5.(d ; pelts 2£d to 4d, Hides;—We held our usual weekly auction sale on Thursday the 13th inst. when we offered a catalogue of 320 hides, calfskins, yearlings, and horse bides. There was a very spirited demand nil hides in good condition being specially sought after, while extra stout hides brought most satisfactory prices.
