A well attended meeting of the Lake County Jockey Club was held in the Prbss Office on Saturday evening last, and presided over by Mr R. M. Paterson. Telegrams were received from Mr W. Eraser, M.P., saying the Department had decided to grant excursions in connection with the Show and races. The secretary said he wired thanking Mr Praser for his efforts. Mr J. Raid's offer to repair the totalisator house if material were supplied was accepted with thanks, as was Mr J. J. Mcßride's offer to make winning numbers. Dr Douglas wrote saying that the Prankton Trustees were unanimous that they had no power to grant removal of roof iron from the Prankton reserve. It was decided to make improvements to the totalisator hoiae as suggested by Mr James. An account of Mr G. Dudley's of 16s was passed for payment. This concluded the business.
