GIBBSTON.
(From a correspondent). Ths Gibbslon Band-of-Hope bold their monthly gathering in the school-room on Friday, 16th inst. After the customary hymn, prayer, and brief address, recitations were given by Fred Chard, John Caithness, Peter Resta, the little O’Fee’s, Bessie Kinross, Bertie Scott, Tom Cowan, and Ivy Cbard ; solos by Helen Kinross, Jessie Cowan, Mr Rasmussen, and Miss Stevens ; duets by Peter Resta and Fred Chard, Jessie Cowan and Helen Kinross, and by Miss Mina Resta and Mias Stevens ; Miss Mary Kinross tendered a reading and also took part in a musical selection (organ and violin) with Mr H. Chard. A hymm and the pronouncement of benediction closed a most enjoyable and profitable evening. The accompanist’s chair was occupied by Miss M, Kinross, and the presiding chair by Miss Stevens.
