A MAORI OUTLAW.
Maoris from the Bay of Plenty report that Hare Mateuga, the Maori outlaw of whom the police have been in pursuit for several years, robbed a Maori camp and stole a boat on the Motu river, inland from Tekaha. He was followed and seen by a native constable from Opotiki. Matenga, who was aroused, escaped capture.
