LONDON'S 25,000 LUNATICS.

This year there are nearly 25,000 lunatics under treatment in pauper asylums, an increase of over 8,000 ill fifteen years.
During the last year 3,814 new patients were admitted to the various institutions, and a table of the occupations of the patients shows how prevalent menial disorder is in the essentially working, classes, the underpaid, overworked submerged tenth of London.
