LAKE COUNTY JOCKEY CLUB.
A well-attendad meeting of committee of the above Club was beld in the Press office on Saturday afternoon last, Mr G. D. Baird (viceprasideut) being in the chair. Apologies for non-attendance were received from the dent (Dr Douglas) and Mr G. H. Romans. Tho oiTer of Messrs Jamos Bros., to work the totalisator at the coming race-meeting was accepted. A letter from the Secretary Alexandra Jockey Club, asking tho club to co-operate with the other goldfield'3 clubs in the purchase of a starting clock, was held over, the Beoretary to make enquires as to cost. The programme submitted by the programme committee was approved. It was decided to ask tho Arrow Borough Council for the Kecreation Ground seats for race days. The matter of alterations to racecourse was T-%!%in the hand 3 of Messrs Romans and It. J. Cotter. A vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
