Chocolate Blanc Mange.—Lot a quart of milk eomo to a boil; then add four tablespoonfuls of cornstarch, wot up with a little millc, one cupful of sugar and two-thirds cupful of grated chocolate. S. rve cold with ore.im. Prune Whip.—Pour boiling water into one pound prunes ; stone thoin and cut into thirds. Beat the whites of four egfcfl to a stiff sugar, with four tableapoonfuls of powdered sugar, then add to the prunes. Hake in a slow oven twenty minutes, and sorve cold with cream. Bauana walad.—l'ecl one or two oranges and remove the white part; slice them and lay in a shallow dish. Peel six bananas and cut them in thin slices and lay over the orange, with powdered sugar sprinkled between, then another layer of the sugar, and above that grated pineapple, more powered sugar, and freshly grated cocoauut sprinkled over thickly for the top layer. Over all squeeze the juice of half a lemon ; lot stand in the refrigerator to chill for an hour before serving.
