A BOLD EXPERIMENT.
Premier Seddon has cabled to the Daily Exnrt-63 that the N.Z. Government propose to buy meat, brand «nd ship it to the United Kingdom, where they wilt establish shop 3 in the bi£ manufacturing centres, selling at cost price. The Express state* that the first shops will be opened in Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, and expresses a hope that the bola experiment will command sympathy and dissipata the opposition of the moat rings aad the ignorant prejudices of the public. The Westminster Gazette says Premier Scddcn's scheme is i stirring advertisement for N.Z. mutton. Possibly Le reckons without the meat rings, and may find that two can play at the s«me game to socure a vast business by sacrificing profit.
