That the Kaifcangata relief fund, instituted in 1880, is now increasing in amount, and now stands at £5434. That 60,000 persons were present au the opening of the St. Louis Exhibition. That King Edward was enthusiastically welcomed to France. That'in election riots in Spain several participants were killed. That the schooner Brothers, was burnt at the Bluff. That there is quite a burglar scare in Auckland at present. That a number of houses have been entered and articles of jewellery stolen.
