The Maker says Having had several years of valuable experience in the Knitting Machine Business, I have made and placed on the market daring the last eight years over 24,000 Knitting Machines. While the sale has been large, and the satisfaction general, yet 1 have just completed some valuable improvements which make the Machine absolutely surpass any Family Knitter manufactured in the United States. My Machine is now far in advance of all imitators and competitors. The Machine is capable of knitting from ten to fifteen thousand stitches per minute. It will kuit a stocking, heel and toe, in ten minutes ; will knit all articles needed in the housahold, from Suspenders to Tidies, Hoods, Stockings, Mitts, Scarfs, Leggings, Pulse Warmers, Afghans, and new feet in old stockings ; also, all the Fancy Stitches, such as Tidy, Chevron, Lattice, Bar and Diamond Stitches, and all work that is usually done on circular machines. This Machine is especially adapted to the requirements of the colonial household. It is Durable, Simple, Practical, and Cheap. The Machine knits seamless, ami in every respect equal to hand-knitting. Hosiery knit on this Machine will wear belter and last longer than any hosiery that can be purchased. The Hosiery made on this Machine is perfectly seamless. The stitch is the same as that made by hand. In starting the work, the knitting is commenced at the top of the sock or stocking and set up with a selvage, and is made the same as if knit by hand. The top of the sock can be seamed as far as desired, and then changed to plain knitting. The ankle and foot can be narrowed, if desired, by the regulation ot cams. The heel is knit at the proper place by knitting back* ard and forward with the Machine, and is finished so theie is no need of any hand work. Knitting of the foot is then continued and finished on the Machine. The toe is kuit jiit ■' the same as the heel. With the needle the stitches are woven together across the toe, a\d ; t is finished. The capacity of the Machine is from twelve to eighteen pairs of stockings *Der day. There are full printed and illustrated instructions with each Machine, so any oerton wno can reaa can learn to knit in a short time.
