THE CZAR’S TOUR.
PARIS, September 19. Wilt-a the warship Cassini met the Russian Royal yacht Stanart the roughness of the sea delayed President Loubet getting aboard. The Czar and Czaritza. who suffered from seasickness during the voyage, greeted President Loubet warmly, and the Czar expressed satisfaction at again being under the French flag. Six thousand pigeons were released and announced the landing. The Mayor presented the Czar with bread and salt, and a fishwife presented the Czaritza with the traditional silver fish upon a crimson cushion. At the Chamber of Commerce luncheon President Loubet toasted the Czar, remarking that the visit was a special compliment to the army and navy, which were objects of incessant solicitude. The Czar, replying to President Louhet's speech at the. Dunkirk Chamber of Commerce's reception, said that he and the (impress had a special pleasure in revisiting the friendly and allied nation of France. They were deeply touched at (he spontaneous welcome accorded them, and had greatly admired the striking spectacle of the; splendid Northern Squadron. He drank prosperity to the ileet. The visiting Royalties, President Loubet, and Premier Rousseau then proceeded to Compeigne Chateau, which has been transformed for the occasion, and is radiant with electricity.
The Czar occupies the great Napoleon’s bedroom.
