LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
WELLINGTON, August 30. The Lands Department have arranged to throw two small estates near Christehurch open for selection on October 15. They are the Kaimahi, of 100 acres, which will be divided into twelve suburban farm sections of from five to ten acres each, and the Kapuatohe hamlet, near Belfast, comprising just under fifty acres. This will be cut up into eighteen sections suitable for workmen's homes, and one small farm of twelve acres.
