The object of the column is to chase De Wet. Lieut. R. S. Coulter was killed, and Privates Elli. and Harry severely wounded, near Vryheid. All belong to the Victorian Mounted Rifles. In a fi-ht at Joskraal on the 28th five British were killed and 12 Wounded The Watervaal-Humanskraal train was derailed in a cutting and the Boers, tiring at close quarters, kilie I 10 and wounded 17 out of the escort of 45, chiefly belonging to the West Ridi'.,* Regiment.
