TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —Now that the winter is over and spring upon us, I think wo should follow the chrysalis form of idea, and develop from the past winter’s slothful ness to one of cleanliness and activity, ft is time our main streets were seen to. A number of vacant sections are becoming a nuisance, often being made the receptacle forali kinds of rubbish. Could not the Council enforce the bylaws in this matter ? It is. time the Council considered the question of placing a man on the town exclusively, as at present the water race absorbs the whole of the attention of our dayman. Trusting the Council will see to this, and not allow strangers, tourists, etc., to pass any name on our little town than that it is a tidy and clean one.—l am, etc.. Promptitude..
