BURN SIDE. Fat Cattle. —192 head yarded, mostly good useful beef, with a few pens extra prime. Prices were on a par with last week's, though somewhat irregular. Best bullocks, £9 10s to £lO Is; extra, £ll ss; good £7 15s to £8 15s; best cows and heifers, £7 to £8 os ; good £5 10s to £G 5s light and aged, £3 10s to £4 10s. Fat Sheep.—l6Bs penned. There was keen competition at first, and prices were Is to Is 6 1 above last week's, but receded towards the end to last week's. Best wethers, 18s to 19s—extra prime, 19s 9d to 21s; good wethers, 16s Gd to 17s 3d ; medium, 15s to 16s 3d ; best ewes, 15s to 16s 6d ; good 14s 6d to 15s 3d ; lambs, lis 6J. Pig?:—The small supply forward sold in favor of the vendors. Suckers, 5s to 9s; slips 12s to 15s ; stores, 18s to 20s ; porkers, 26s to 35s ; baconers, up to 46s ; big pigs, GO-!. WOODLANDS. Messrs I. W. Raymond and 00. report being in attendance at the usual monthly sale at Woodlands on Wednesday, the 7th inst, when a moderate entry of sheep and cattle was forward. The total yarding of sheep comprised 7 pens, of which we offered and sold 5. Fat wethers sold at 16s Id, store do. 13s 3i, fat ewes 12s, cull do ss. Cattle were of mixed ages and sold at full market rates. Dry cows brought £3 10s dairy cows £3 12s 6d, yearlings £3, calves 28s to 355. We shall be pleased to hear from those having good draught mares or geldings for sale. We have numerous enquiries, and can place these at good values.—Wyndham Herald.
