OBITUARY.
Just as we go to press the sad news reaches us of the death of Mr R. H. Baird, of Bendemeer. We can hardly realise the fact, but it saddens our heart to know that the news is only too true. Words cannot convey our deep sympathy to the poor bereaved mother and family at the irreparable loss of so good a son and brother, and such a fine man. Cut off at the early age of 3G, and with such a bright
future before him, makes the grief the more intense. The funeral will leave Bendemeer for the Frankton Cemetery on Saturday at 1 o’clock. We will refer fully to deceased’s good citizenship and manly qualities in our next issue. May the mother and family bear up to overcome the heavy affliction that now saddens a happy home.
