The Arrow Flat Hydraulic Sluicing Company got the water on to their claim on Monday.

The contractors are about to make a start in building the pontoons for the Merrimac dredge at Gibbston.

The directors of the Shotover Gold Dredging Company expect to have their dredge (lately purchased) on the ground, ready to work, early next week.

The Hartley and Ryley dredge beat all her previous last week, with the sensational return of 1187oz 14dwt, which is nearly double that of her previous best. Shares are now selling at £23 17s. The first meeting of shareholders in Lafranchi’s Freehold Gold Dredging Company was held in Dunedin on Monday last. The following were elected directors:—Messrs S. N. Brown (chairman), W.
