Miller, Bracemore, Maungatua, Taieri) is a dark bay colt standing 16hd Sin high, lias fine flat bone of the best quality, a nice flow of hair, good feet, and is rising eight years old. Sihe, the reputed Lord Salisbury (imported), who bad an unbeaten record in the show rings in New Zealand and at Home. Dam, Blossom, by Nimmo’s Emperor. Emperor was out of Mrs Nintmo’s wellknown mare Jean. Grand dam, Nancy, by Glasgow Gcordie (imported by the late David Nisbit). From the foregoing it will be seen that REGENT is come of the very best blood on his dam’s as well as on his sire's side, as the long and increasing successes of the stock fully proves, and therefore cannot fa 1 to be a valuable stud horse. He travelled the Taicri district four years ago, and has proved himself a sure foul-getter. Two offers have been made from Dunedin and Southland for the purchase of the horse, but the owner declined the offers, as he intends keeping him for another season for tiie benefit of horse breeders. REGENT’S stock in this district are spoken of as being excellent animals. Mr Houlihan, of Arrowtown, refused £32 for one of his get. Two well-bred colts by REGENT brought the highest prices a-t the Dunedin sales in August. Mr .W. Paterson, of Ayrburn, has a 10month old colt by REGENT’, and it is a really beautiful animal. Mr Paterson speaks highly of him. Good paddocks provided for mares at 1/6 per week. All care taken but no responsibility. TERMS £3. £1 10s at end of season, and £1 10s when mare proves in foal.
