The Tipperary Company’s Battery, Macetown, commenced crushing on Monday last. Messers Smiley and Foord are doing good work with their tunnelling contract at the Crystal Mine, Upper Shotover. We also learn that thn last wash-up at this mine was very satisfactory. The brothers Robertson, who made a sensational rise in Cardrona seven years ago, and who settled on a farm near Lawrence, have sold all their property.. They intend to again try their luck at gold mining, but intend to go to West Australia. I wish them every success.—Dunstan Times correspondent.

The Sew Hoy 00. obtained 64ozs retorted gold for the week.. The Waihi Company, Auckland, have washed up for the period between Jan. 3rd and Feb. Bth for a total return of £13,545. It has been unanimously resolved to wind up the Sandhills Gold Mining Company. The Clutha River is now running between sft and 6ft above its ordinary winter level.

Th; Beaumont correspondent of theDunstaa Times reports that theGolden Gate dredge is on very good gold now. It has averaged for the last month 80oz per week. The directors have declared a dividend of 8s per share. Another two months’ run. like the above will recoup the lucky shareholders and put back in their pockets all that they have spent on the dredge.. The Tuapcka dredge is averaging from, 15oz to 20oz per week. The Clyde paper states that Hyde and party’s dredgo is now working steadily, and washed up 13oz last week, for a week’s work.
