Mining News.
Tipperary Company, Macetown.— The reef in the Tipperary Tunnel was struck on the 11th of this month at a distance of 1926 ft from the mouth of the tunnel. . It has not yet been driven across, but the portion exposed shows a little gold.
Glonrock Company, Macetown.— The Glenrock Company’s clean up for January was 97 ounces melted gold from 189 tons crushed.
Sew Hoy returns 650z lldwt ; from elevator 21oz Id.
Enterprise dredge, 15ozl6dwt. Jutland Flat Gold Company’s returns last week 240z 9dwt gold. The Dunstan Times reports that at Springvale Messrs E. Ryan and J. M'Lean washed up with veiy satisfactory results.
At Bald Hill Flat Messrs Carroll and party finished cleaning up a small paddock during the early part of last week, with satisfactory results.
