Induction The induction of the Rev. R, H. Blair to the pastoral charge of the Presbyterian Church took place at Queens town yesterday.
On View. —ln connection with the art union, advertised by Mr I. Froggatt, ot Invercargill, Jwe have on view an oil-painting by that gentleman, representing Mossioner s "La Rixe .” It is really first-class, and can be seen at this office, where tickets can also be obtained. Social Gatherings.— At a social held at Bulteudale, on Saturday night last, Mrs J. Evans was made the recipient of a gold bangle and brooch, prior to her departure for Auckland.—A social to welcome the Rev. Mr Blair, will be held in the Presbyterian Church, to night at 7 o’clock. All are cordially invited.
