The Secretary of the Royal College of Surgeons, London, wrote, asking for. a copy of the testimonial sent in by Dr Dutton, purporting to be from theBishop of Goulburu.—Copy ordered to be sent.

Mr-M‘Donnell (for the Visiting Committee reported that the wards were not being kept very, clean,, and that complaints were being made by. patients of there not being'enough food allowed the patients. He had spoken to the wardsman about the matter.

Patients were- not allowed enough sugar in theirtea, etc. After some discussion it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the Visiting Committee and surgeon. Mr Jenkins proposed and Mr M‘Donneil seconded—That the sum required for the telephone be put on the estimates to come before the Board in March.— Carried. Messrs M'Donnell and M'Kibbin were appointed Visiting Committee for the ensuing month. Mr Stanford gave a donation of £1 7s 6d towards the Building Fund, for which he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The Surgeon’s report showed that 14 patients had been treated daring the month, 5 remained from December* 9 admitted, 10 discharged, 4 remained, and the outpatients had been 12.
