An elaborate judgment his been given by Warden M‘Car thy in the case of the application of the Ngapara Company a special claim of 75 acres on the Molyneux river, and an application for protection of section L2, block X, Leaning Rook district, by the Enterprise Gold Mining Company. The Enterprise Company objected to the application for a special claim- by the Ngapara Company, on the ground that section 12 which was included had been ac cjuired by the Enterprise Company from Mr John Ryley ; and the application of the Enterprise Company for protection was objected to by Ross and party (the Ngapara Company) on the ground that the ground was abandoned ground no- plant whatever having been placed on it. The Ngapara Company’s application for the special claim was granted and the application for protection by the Enterprise Company dismissed, as there was nothing to protect. No costs were allowed.
