ARROW BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Copy of the proposed Local Authorities Accounts .and Audit 33*11 was forwarded by Government for suggest'ons. Merely received. The Registrar-general wrote requiring for statistics' purp( ses inform - ■i mas to the area, popul<aoa, number of dwellings and ratepayers and rateable v;duo of prop Tty, etc.—The Town Clerk was instructed to reply. C. M. Cromhie, Commissioner or Taxes, wrote forwarding valuations of laud in the Borough- for the three years commencing April 1, 1892. Book of valuations to lie on the table for inspection. Thomas Begg wrot ', making a preliminary offer wit-h rof-renco to the li:htingo£ the town with electricity. declined.
The dayman reported (giving names) that a number of water-taps were in a defective condition.—The Clerk was or lered to write the parties stating that if they did not repair their taps their supply would be cut off. It was resolved to request the late Town Clerk to prepare the balanc - sheet for the half-year ended 31st March, as agreed.
Accounts as follow were passed for payment:—A. and T. Bart, £1 12s 6d ; T. Gibson, 2s 3d ; A. Briscoe, 5s ; J. Keating, £1 13s 4d ; W. J. Marsh. £3 11s Gd ; T. Keating) 2s 6d; W. Payne. 8s ; Peter Henderson, 8s; James Keating, £6 13s 4d. Constable Bowman was appointed Registrar of Dogs for the year at a remuneration of 15 per cent.
