I fought medical advice frem our local doctor, and he prescribed for me. My ailment was describe! ns black jaundice and gall-stones, and; at times I suffered much pain. Our doctor’s ti oalmer.t did not do me much good, as the alia, Its we frequent and very severe.. Some mouths pars'd, and I felt that I was becoming hopelessly ill. My friends were shocked at my sallow and changed appearance, ami mo;e than o o has told mo since that they never expected to see me weil again. I went to Auckland for change of air end scene, and to seek further m ■ J ical advice. I g>t it, and for a lime seem dto improve, the change evidently doing me good ; but it was net tonic enough ,for after a. week or so I wa» ag dn Idd up. All the medical advice I got in Auckland seemed unavailing, and I returned home with very little to hope for. Here I suffered, several att. cks, and had to lay up repeatedly. My husband had a very poor opinion of patent nrrdiciucs, > ul seeing Clements Tonic advcitised as of such wonderful effbet in ferious can 3, and being quite at a loss to suggest any other untried remedy, he brought me home ii bottle, and wc determined to try it. At the same time .we resolved to say nothing of he medicine we weie using.until fu ly satisfied of its effects. The first dose did me good, and 1 I improved rapidly. Friends who would not have ht eu surprise 1 to h-ar i f my death were really astonish'd at my rapid recovery. I was soon satisfied 1 ns to the value of Clements Tonic, anil gladly recommended it to others, and so did my husband. The storekeeper spoke to him one day, and asked him if he had been recommending Clements Tonic, for he was almost su’d, out, and had only one bottle left. “ Give it to me,” said my husband; “I wouldn’t be without it for anything ” By the time I had taken one bottle 1 was able to get about my work again. Fiiends thought the improvemei t only temporary, and expected to see me prostrated , again, but I am thankful to say that such has not been the case. Every dosodiil its work, and afterafortnighb I only took one dese a day, in the early morning. 1 have used only three Lotties, and have the fourth in! he house. I do not take it regularly but fly to it on the least symptom of anything being wrong, and I hive many times proved it to bo a good preventative of returning sickness. It i- now eight os nine menths since I recovoi ed, and C eim-nts Tonic has kept me in good health all through. I can again get on wuh my house and dairy work with comfort and pleasure. lam pleased to be able to recommend Clements Tonic, for I have found it a true friend, and am convinced that it will’give hea’th to many hoav suffering, if they will only give it a trial.—l am, Sit, youia gratefully', M.
