Sib, —I have heard a good deal an the log-rolling proclivities of the JQ County Council, and know that tj actions are, in cousequence, regarded 1 suspicion by many of the ratepayers, j proposed purchase of the QueensH Hall had every appearance] " job," but, I suppose as things l getting too warm, I hear now that members deputed to deal with the busil at last meeting have decided not to] chase the Hall, but have closed a bar] for two vacant sections in Queensto#n some L3OO. If we add to this L 1200! proposed buildings, there will be sol thiDg like LISOO of the County, fii thrown into the lap of someone. Maj ask, Who are the favored of thd Cod that this arrangement is made for ? this; means an additional LSOO (fl believe the Town Hall could have b purchased forLlOOO) is appropriated,! the revenue (however small and doubtl to be derived from tho renting of ti premises is lost;
