(From our own Correspondent Dunedin, Wednesday Mornini The Resident Magistrate on Mob gave judgment in the petition aga H. S. Fish's election to the Mayor! He declared Fish ousted and W t elected. . Mr Walter accordingly took chair at the Council meeting. Crs. Barnes, Fish, and Isaacs i very violent language. The Council voted the May salary at £1 instead of £SOO. A public meeting at the Athena adopted resolutions requesting "Wa to resign; and subscribed funds defray Fish's expenses. The ship Bruce from Calcutta, g ( into port without a pijot, struck on bar; but is off again now. Some discreditable dlsclosafgjd been made in the Bankruptcy Td affecting certain creditors of H.-aa Mercer.
