RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Before H. A. Stratford, Esq;., R.MMonday, September 30th. Alexander M'Kenzie was charged with using insulting language to Sergt. Morton. He pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s or in-default 48 hours. The fine was niade as the defendant had been locked up 46 hours. D. M, Mackay was fined 10s with 5s 6d eosts-for allowing a mare and foal to wander in the municipality ; H. Graham and H. Wilkinson, for similar offence, 5s aud 5s 6d costs each ; J. L. Jopp, similar offence, £l, w.th 5s 6d costs.
