Rob Roy’s dam, Fanny, was imported from Lanarkshire, Scotland, to Tasmania, and from the latter place to Victoria. Fanny was purchased by Mr Boyd, of Noith Taieri, at which place Rob Hoy was foaled. His sire was Oliver Cromwell, a horse imported by Mr. M'Dougall. Rob Roy is a dapple-bay, with black points, and is a sure foal-getter. Asa tow-year-old he gained the first prize at the Taieri Show, and the first prize as a three-year-old at the Tokomairiro Show. There is not a better bred horse in the district. TERMS-. £3 IQs. Half the money is to be payable at the and of the season, and the balance when the mare proves in foal. Guarantee as per agreement. A good grass Paddock, near Spear grass Plat.
