QUEENSTOWN ROTARY
Year’s Work Reviewed An outline of Eotary activities in Queenstown during the past year was given by Mr J. Keen, past president, when, on handing over to the new piesident, Mr E. Eobins, at the club’s last meeting, he thanked members for their co-operation and wished the new president a successful year. Visiting Eotarians were Messrs N. Armour and A. McDonald, of Invercargill, and E. Salmon, of Te Awamutu. The induction of the new president, which ceremony was carried out by Mr C. H. McKay, commenced a women’s evening which followed in the Parish Hail, and which proved a success. Thanking the club for the honour accorded him, the new president attached a badge of honour to the vice-president, Mr A. Vereoe. The club’s Musical Committee, under the leadership of Mr W. Smith, arranged the following programme: — Piano duet, Mrs J. McDonald and Mrs L. McDonald, of Timaru; song, Mrs T. Donaldson; sketch, Mr and Mrs P. Williams; duet, Mrs J. McDonald and Mr Eric Hopwood; topical verses —Messrs W. Smith, J. McDonald, and E, Hopwood; selected efforts —Dr Anderson, the Eev. Mr Anderson, Messrs J. Keen and C. Inglis; solo, Miss L. McDonald; sketch —Messrs W. Smith, G. Forbes, J. 'McDonald, and E. Hopwood. At the conclusion Mr Anderson showed coloured motion pictures, one of local subjects, the other of Honolulu and Fiji.
