SUCCESSFUL ARROWTOWN RARBITERS’ BALL
Visitors from as far as Dunedin and Invercargill, as well as Alexandra, Cromwell, and Ettrick, attended the annual Arrowtown rabbiters’ ball held on August 20 in the Athenaeum Hall. The hall was decorated for the occasion with rabbit skins, evergreens, and coloured lights. During the evening the secretary, Mr Dickson, thanked everyone for coming along, especially those who came from a distance. The Lucky Spot Waltz was won by Mr D. Paterson and Miss Waddell, and the Monte Carlo by Mr G. Bell and Mrs Waldron, of Cromwell. McNamara’s Gaiety Band supplied the music. Mr A. Morris was M.C.
