Curtis left on Monday morning to spend a holiday in Dunedin. * * * Mr and Mrs C. Francis of Invercargill are in residence at Queenstown. * * * Mrs G. A. Herbert left on Monday to spend a few days at Oamaru. * * * Miss Shirley Downs of Invercargill is holidaying in Queenstown. * * * Mr and Mrs G. Thomas left by the bus on Tuesday morning on a visit to Invercargill. * * * Mrs J. J. McSeriley and famiyl, Cromwell, are the guests of Mr and Mrs T. McSeriley. * * * Miss Shirley Donaldson of Invercargill has been visiting Queenstown for ski-ing competitions. * * Mr and Mrs P. Thomson, Invercargill, are at present holidaying in Queenstown, ■* * * Miss K. Leary returned during the past week from a visit paid to Invercargill. # * * Mrs W. Farrant and family of Winton, are spending the school vacation in Queenstown. * * * Mr and Mrs W. Gordon of Dunedin (formerly of Queenstown) are spending a holiday in Queenstown. *, * * Brother L. Reidy of, Australia and Brother McCarthy of St. Kevin’s, paid a visit to Queenstown during the week. * * * Mrs S. Wyatt of Dunedin is the guest of her sister, Miss McNeill, One Mile road. * * * Mrs C. A. Stewart and Miss Heather Stewart are at present spending the school vacation at Queenstown. * * * Mrs G. Niehol and family arc holidaying here, residing at the Wakatipu Courts. * * * Mr and Mrs R. Royds and Miss A. Royds of Invercargill are among the many visiting families to the town. * * * Mr H. D. Walker, of the Queenstown Post Office staff, has received advice of his promotion to senior telegraphist. * * * Miss E. McLean and Miss June Hanson left during the week on a visit to Auckland and other parts of the North Island # * * Mr Philip (superintendent Invercargill Fire Brigade) and Mrs Philip, are at present in residence at Hallenstein street.
