ROTARY

Visit to Alexandra Instead of the usual meeting of the Rotary Club in the Royal Cafe; the club journeyed to Alexandra, where the members were welcomed by Mr T. E. Sutherland, president of the Alexandra Club. The speaker for the evening was Mr J. Renouf, orchard instructor for Central Otago, who gave an interesting address on the activities of the Fruit Research Department in the district. !

After the address Mr D. E. Blyth. 'presided over a debate with the Queenstown Club, the subject being, “ That the Administration of Gdrmany by the Four Powers is in the Bbst Interest of the German People and Europe as a Whole.” The Alexandra members took the affirmative, and the Rev. G. E. Dallard and Mr J. W. McArthur were the speakers while the negative speakers ‘were Dr W. A. Anderson and the Rev.

P. Anderson. An invitatiton was extended to Alexandra to return the visit, members consenting willingly, but asked that no so forceful speakers be opposed them.
