DEATH OF MRS JOHN DRINNAN
We regret to have to announce the <^eath of a very old and greatly, respepteiij yesjdenf of I£aukapakapa, \n the. person, of Afrs John £)riaoan, at the. age. of GO yearp. deceased, who had been ailing foi some time past, has reside! of late with her daughter (Mrs A. Tilby) at Helenville where she passed away on the 16th inst. She was of English birth and came out to New Zealand among the early settlers. Deceased leaves a f^mjly qf ten chill ren, three of the eons are no\y f|ir luting" in th,e. trenches in France, and ono returned home wounded borne time ago. The body w •" conveyed by the mid.day train to~day (Thursday) to Kaukapakapa, where the inteiment will take place Mr it Becroft earned out the under taicirig in his usual competent style.
