Bread and Flour

By Orders - in - Goa noil the maximum prices of flour and bread have been reduced in accordance with the announcement made in the House of Representatives recently by the Hon. W Noeworthy. The reduced prices are : Flour.—£ls JOt per ton, f.0.b., Southern ports. Bread.—ln the main centres of the South Island, per 21b loaf, s|d cash over the counter, s|d booked over the counter fid cash on delivery, and 6|d booked and delivered. Tae maximum prices of bread sold in the main centres of the North Island are, |d per 21b 1 >af higher than in the South. The change in the price of flour is effective from October 30, and of bread from October 30 in the South Island, and November 6 in the North Island. The Orders-in-Council will be gazetted this week, together with a notification that the maximum bread prices as at present specially fixed by the Board of Trade for the email centres shall throughout the Dominion be reduced by |d per 21b loaf.
