Included in the Gazette military appointments is that of Major E. M. Mackersey to command the Ist Battalion of the Waikato Regiment.
Mr. J. H. Dowie, of Kaipara Flats, who has been spending the week-end with his parents, returned by the Limited this morning.
Mr. R. Faulls returned last week from a holiday spent in Christchurch with his parents.
Miss F. Field is spending a month's holiday in Wellington.
Mr. D. Coutts, of the staff of the N.Z. Insurance Co., Ltd., left yesterday on transfer to Auckland.
