VETERAN PLANE
AIR-LINER WITHDRAWS FROM SERVICE. Heracles, "grand old lady" of the Imperial Airways London-Paris service, is shortly to be withdrawn from service. Heracles made her first flight in September, 1931, and since then she has flown 1,250,000 miles, carrying more than 100,000 passengers. She has never been involved in any serious accident, nor have any of her passengers or crew ever been injured.
